July = Story
I have written about my connections with story in my previous post, not necessarily to provide autobiographical information, but to provide a context for my story.
I believe that each of us has a story that links both backward in time to foundational stories and moves forward with us as we engage our own daily lives. For me, the foundational story is Biblical. For you, it may be something different.
I believe that these foundational stories shape who we are, they matter. And, those connections with those men and women who have shared the same foundational stories through the centuries matter as well.
How do you understand your story through the complex web of stories that have formed you and your expectations? What memories of others do you need to keep alive through story?
